Township of Emo Municipal Election - October 26, 2026
Nominations are now open as of May 1st, 2026 for the 2026 Municipal Election in the Township of Emo!
What you need to know before starting the Nomination process:
- You must be a Canadian Citizen, at least 18 years of age on Election Day and a voter in the municipality (resident or own property for six months prior to the date of the election)
- Decide if you want to run for Mayor or Councillor. The filing fee for Mayor is $200 and $100 for Councillor (payable by cash, certified cheque or money order at the time of submitting your forms)
- August 21, 2026 is the last day to file, amend or withdraw nomination papers. The deadline is 2 p.m.
- All forms must be signed in front of the Clerk or designate, therefore we highly recommend you make an appointment at the Municipal Office to ensure that the Clerk is available to file your nomination papers.
- You must provide identification at the time of submitting your forms. One piece of government issued photo ID or two pieces of ID showing your name and municipal address
